Copper Letters Birthday Card and Spinner Card

For the end of the month I thought I would post both of these cards since they are both for birthdays.

The first one is using some of Stampin Ups designer paper that has bits of copper in the design.  Each of the flowers were fussy cut before I colored the flowers with pink and green ink.  I then layered an embossed piece of green vellum for the  background. I then stamped a birthday sentiment on the inside.

This next card is one that we used to do by hand.  It is called a twirling or spinner card.  The main piece in the center used string or fishing line to make it twirl around, but now there is a special die that will do all of that for you. I used copic markers to color the vase and flowers and used a patterned paper for the background.  I added a small birthday sentiment on the front and left the inside blank so that you can add your own message.

    Sunset

I love how this card turned out.  The colors just say relax and watch the sunset.

I first stamped the trees and mountains with black and then embossed them with clear embossing powder to give it a little shine.

To create the sunset I colored the area where the sun is with yellow ink and then covered the area with a circle.  My next step was to add more yellow around the card and then orange and then a deep red. I also added these colors into the water.  I wrapped some twine on the bottom and attached the little hello sentiment.

Another card to send to someone and let them know you are thinking of them during this quarantine time.

    Iris and butterfly Triple frame

This has been the strangest of times for all of us but I know we will all get through this dark time. For the most part I have been cleaning out my craft-room and rearranging things. The Goodwill stores are going to be so packed with items from all of us crafters they wouldn’t know what to do.

For this card I wanted to have a message that you could send to a loved one while we are all in quarantine from the coronvirus-19.

Getting back to what I was saying, this card can be for a loved one that you might not be able to visit at this time but it will bring a smile to their face and know that they are loved.

I used different shapes of purple for this card. The sentiment says,”Sending hugs and prayers and lots of love.”  This card could even be used as a sympathy card.

    Coffee or Tea Cup

With this pandemic going on around us it’s nice to know that we as a nation are helping our fellow mankind.

One of my nieces’ have been deployed to the epic center of New York to help out as a nurse.  I pray that she will be ok each and everyday. Several other nieces’ work in hospitals, as well as my own husband and I pray that they are safe also each day. These people; doctors, nurses, grocery store owners, police, firemen, EMT technicians are all looking out for each and everyone of us, so we must do our part and stay safe at home during this time of quarantine.

I made one of these cards to send to my niece but was told they cannot take packages due to the virus, so here is a little sunshine to brighten your day.

I made the background using different stamps and then cut the paper down to fit the card.  The inside sentiment says, “You are somebody who makes everybody feel like somebody.” That sentiment pretty much says what the the doctors and nurses are doing.

My next set of cards is using the same background with a sentiment inside that says, “Sending hugs and prayers and lots of love.” I made one card with a full background and another with part embossed with swirls. These cards would be great for someone who is sick and you can let them know you are thinking of them.
