I made both of these cards as birthdays.  I think they would look great as Thinking of you, Get Well or even a Sympathy card.  For this first one I used shades of orange and red markers to give it that varied look.   A simple burgundy bow on the side and its all finished.  On the inside I added another dahlia just peeking from the bottom of the card.

For my second card, I made it as a peek a boo card.  The dahlia is on the inside of the card. I added a small birthday sentiment and then added an extra panel on the back so you can write more if you wanted to.
