Slice of Cake Pop Up Card

I created this card for my brother’s birthday.  I thought it was a fun way to say happy birthday.

I love making cards that do something and this one really does.

The slice of cake pops up as you open the card. I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment after I took this picture.

I first used an embossing folder on the front and then added a cut out cake in the center.  For the inside I made the cake pink with chocolate frosting and added a candle to the top.

Sympathy Card from Stamping Up’s Calming Camellia

I made this card for one of my card making groups.  I thought it was tasteful for a very sad time for someone.

I first used a stencil and lightly colored the card base background. I then stamped the flower with a purplish ink before I colored in the flower with yellow marker and the leaves a shade of green.

For the inside I lightly stamped the flower again and added a sentiment over to the left of the flower, there is plenty of room to write a message on the left and over the flower if needed.

    Bridge Card Girl

OK, I think this will be my last girl card for awhile but who knows I like this stamp set. This card is called a bridge card because of the way it sits up in the front like a bridge.

I made two of these cards one with the girl in a pink dress and the other with the girl in a blue dress. Both of these cards used designer paper from Stampin Up called New Horizons and the girls were colored using markers.  I made both of these cards with the sentiment of, “Thinking of You, ” that way it can be used in a variety ways anywhere from just thinking of you to condolences to hey what are you up to.  The girl is looking out and the water and thinking.  There is plenty of room on the back to write your message and these cards fold up and fit into an A2 envelope.
