    Sympathy Iris

I just love how this card turned out.  Sometimes you just don’t know what it will look like until the very end.  This would put a smile on anyone’s face.

I first die cut three frames and stacked them on each other.  For the next step I stamped the iris in purple and green for the leaves on white card stock and then added the frame on top.  Layered some purple card stock behind the white and then added a little scrap book paper on the left.   I stamped with sympathy and added it on top of the frame and flower to finish off the front of the card.

For the inside I stamped the iris in the lower right corner and added a sentiment to finish off the card. i know that if I were grieving this card would definitely make things a little lighter knowing someone cared for me.

    One beer or two

Stampin Up had this cute stamp set that would be great for all your masculine friends.  It’s always hard to find a card for a male that isn’t all flowery and feminine.  I thought this set did just what I was looking for.

I made two cards so far from this set.

For the first one I stamped the light brown paper with the mug and then torn the edges.  I then stamped the mug and added dimensionals on the back to pop it up.

For the inside I used the same sentiment on both cards for the inside.

The second card has different size pieces of scrapbook paper layered and I mounted one of the glass mugs on dimensionals and left one of them flat.

    Purple Sympathy

Some of Stampin Up’s stamps are very detailed and make such a beautiful design.  This card is one of their new stamp sets called Wonderful World.

I stamped the flower with gorgeous grape ink and for the leaves I used evening evergreen ink. I added a couple of sequins for a little sparkle and a nice purple bow. I wanted to use this as a sympathy card so I chose the sentiment which is Isaiah 41:10. I then stamped the flower in the lower corner to finish the card off.
