Do you have a someone special in your life, if so this is a card for you. It is made as a 3D card with many layers.
I first added texture to the back panel and then added the elf with all the presents at different heights to give some depth to the character. I added a simple sentiment on the inside of Have a Merry Christmas.

Of course it’s time to start decorating for Christmas. I usually wait until the first of December. This card reminded me of starting to decorate. As you can see the girl has a Christmas wreath that she is probably getting ready to hang.
For the front of the card I used some designer paper and the red piece I embossed with a plaid pattern to give the card some texture. I then stamped the words Deck the Halls with wreaths and holly and cut and framed the words out in green card stock. The sentiment is stamped in real red ink and centered on the page.

Yesterday I showed you the card I made for my card group and today I am showing you the simple gifts I made for them.
First is a gift box that I filled with different kinds of candy. I used a mixture of chocolates and hard candy since I don’t know what each person prefers, this way they have a choice. I did all of this using a Cricut machine.
Another gift I made everyone is an ornament with the nativity scene in the center of the ornament. I tried doing a close up of the ornament so you can see the nativity scene.
You can add a tealight to the inside to make it glow but here I have it up against a light on my tree and the light shines thru. I used a satin ribbon as the hanger. Surprisingly, there is very little gluing to create this ornament, the only part that is glued is the panels around the ornament.
