I love the colors of this card.  The red and black images remind me of my mother she liked those colors together.

First I stamped the flowers with white ink and then embossed with white embossing powder.  The next step is where the magic happens, you color the flowers and leaves with alcohol markers and they pop with color.  For the inside I added a simple sentiment “Let’s celebrate you.”

I made both of these cards using the same stamp set.  This is a stampin up paper pumpkin stamp set.  It is so versatile that it can be used for many occasions. I used the tin tile embossing folder for the background to give the cards a more vintage look.

I know there are people out there that don’t like to try new things, but I’m not one of those people.  This card is and example of stepping out of my safe zone.  The card is called an arrow card because the center points like an arrow. I made this card in two different patterned papers I just flipped the patterned paper over for the contrast.
