You are in my thoughts (pink)

This card was made for a special little lady who is battling kidney failure.  She and her mom are two of the bravest women I know.  The background on this card was a new technique I wanted to try out.  Blending ink into watercolor paper. To me it says peacefulness.   The birds reminded me of friends talking to each other about what is going on in their lives.  I added  few of the birds on the inside also.

    Car Crash

Time out from Thanksgiving cards, although this one was made for my daughter’s boyfriend and his birthday is Thanksgiving day this year.  He loves El Camino cars.  I Googled the image and colored it with copic markers.  I then ran the red cardstock through a brick embossing folder and touched just the top of the bricks with black ink.  I backed the red cardstock with black and cut several slits in both papers.  To keep the curl in the paper I wet the edges of the cardstock and curled them around a pencil.  Looks complicated but really isn’t once you break it down into steps.

I can’t wait for him to open the card.  It can still fit in an A2 envelope with no problem.

    Give thanks pumpkin

Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks for what we have in our lives.  I am thankful for my health and the health of my family.

I created this card by testing out some sponge daubers for the background.  I think it turned out pretty good.  The background was embossed using an embossing folder and I added a little ribbon bow in the corner.

This card could also be used to thank someone.
