I’ve been a little busy with some 4th of July cards and lanterns. As a child I would usually go somewhere for fireworks or a picnic with family.  It’s a lot harder now to get everyone in the same place for any event, but I digress.

I made this lantern for one of my friends in our card group.  She always does so much for us that I wanted to repay her kindness with this lantern. I used a lot of scrap card stock for the flowers and brown card stock for the vase.  Here I show the lantern with the lights off and on so that it could be used either way. For her I used some of the twinkle lights where all she needs to do is press a button on the back but you could add a small tealight to the inside also.

I made this cute Snoopy lantern for my daughter and decide to also make a card. The first picture is with the tealight off and the second one has the light on.  The main color for the whole lantern are different colors of green some yellow for Woodstock and a little bit of black and white.
