Today I wanted to show you two of the eight cards I created from one sheet of 12 x 12 card stock. I love this paper from Stampin Up called Peaceful Poppies.
Poppies have always been in my family. My grandmother grew poppies in her backyard and my parents were very active in the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) where they would sell poppy butteneers to help Veterans, so poppies have a special meaning to me.
I used dark purple for the card base and I embossed part of the inside of the white card stock with a floral design .
Here are two of the cards I created I made four of each design. On some of the cards I put sequins on and others I left plain. I made birthdays cards and get well cards.

This is fun when you mind needs to wander. I took a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of white paper and stamped all over it. I then cut the paper into smaller sections to create these 8 cards. I left the sentiments off so that the recipient can choose which one they would like on which card. I have several sentiments to go with the cards. As a finishing touch I used white seam binding ribbon for all of the bows on the cards.
For the card stock bases I chose a light pink, light blue, red and a pale purple and a few scraps of green to accent the cards. For each of the sentiments I added dimensionals on the back so the sentiment would be raised up on each card.

I saw this card on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try. I used pink ink and stamped it on pink cardstock for the background. For the sentiment I used black ink and popped up the sentiment up on white cardstock. The cross was stamped with the same pink ink and the butterfly was stamped with black ink and then fussy cut. I added a small pearl to the butterflies body.
