Keeping with the nautical theme here is a card I made for one of my card groups I am in. I used an anchor embossing folder for the background and an anchor on the front. I tried making the anchor look aged by using black ink along the edges. On the inside I stamped a sailor and made a life preserver.

Another fun card I made for my husband for Father’s Day. It is called a box card and could easily be changed to be a birthday card or wedding or any kind of celebration. I did make one before where you could fill it with labels for Christmas gifts.
And of course the card had to have a few tools included.

These cards were created for a couple of special girls in my life. I know they are going to love them. I wanted the cards to have a playful feel to them and I think I accomplished that.
I did some fussy cutting on this card by hand cutting each of the characters. I used a texture embossing folder to give the look of bricks. I used just a simple Happy Birthday on the inside to allow the person giving the card to have room for their message.
For my mermaid shaker card I stamped some images on the inside of the circle and added some sequins and beads to shake. I stamped and colored the mermaid on the front to add some depth to the card. I then added the words Wishing you a mermaid kinda birthday.
