If you are a card-maker or scrap booker you probably have a ton of scraps. I had just that, a ton of scraps, so I went about trying to reduce that amount of scraps by making this card.
I first cut all the scraps to 3/4 of an inch. For the next step I had to figure out how I wanted the scraps to look on the front of the card. I chose four different patterned pieces and started to arrange them like a pinwheel trying to keep the colors in a cohesive pattern. I then stamped the birthday sentiment on a large circle to be the focal point of the card and die cut a circle frame around the sentiment. For the inside I used another sentiment and added some leftover scraps at the bottom.

This card could go for anyone who is going through some kind of change in their life, it could be a graduation, divorce, or even the death of someone. I love the simplicity of the thistle.
I stamped the thistle in a light purple ink and then colored the leaves a light green. I stamped a sentiment on the right side and another one on the inside. To finish off the card I added a couple of rhinestones and some winkastella for some shimmer.

As I was making this card I was remembering all the fun shaker cards were as I was growing up and thought this would be a fun one for any age.
I first cut out a picture of a birthday cake for the background and then added some sequins for the shaker part.
For the front of the card I used an embossing folder and embossed Happy Birthday all around on white card stock. I die cut the words make a wish and framed it out on pink card stock and then added a small pink frame around the shaker part.
For the inside I added a sentiment in pink ink.
