Sending Love and Be Mine Valentine cards

Just a couple of valentine cards that I have started to make.  February the month of love.

I belong to a stamping program which sends out a package of items to create mostly cards but sometimes different items.  I love this package and look forward to it every month its called Paper Pumpkin. I made these two cards using my Paper pumpkin package.

By splitting the card fronts and switching the top part with each of them I created two cards.  I stamped some small hearts and flowers above and below the large hearts.  The first card I die cut a gold scallop to go around the stamped heart and popped the heart up on dimensionals.  I made a small black bow and added the sentiment to go on the side.  The second card has a small gold border around the heart and a piece of scallop trim to go across the card.  For the last picture I stamped the same sentiment on the inside of both cards and added a couple of hearts around the sentiment.

    Cute Donkey Valentine

This card turned out so darn cute.  I just love it!  I stamped the donkey with memento black ink so that I could color with alcohol markers. After coloring the donkey I thought he looked way to dark so I used the blender color lifter pen and took some of the darkness away and now he looks so much more alive.

I matted some designer paper with black card stock to make the paper pop. I then made a red bow along the top and also to stream down the side.

For the inside I found a cute hand stamp making a heart shape and added the words above it saying You are loved.

Peace, Love, and Hope – Doves

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!  As we all gather (6 feet apart) this year please say a prayer for all of those who have lost someone dear to them over this pandemic.

The medical professionals say that hope is on the horizon so we must still be vigilant in all of the health practices so that we can have many more holidays with loved ones to come.

These cards were made with Hope in mind, hope for a better future.

The dove has always represented peace and hope so what better time then now to make these cards for Christmas.  I also made an ornament to go on our tree and many of my friend’s trees as well.

I used white cardstock for the doves and backed their wings with vellum.  I then attached a gold branch in the mouth of the doves.

For the first card I embossed teal cardstock for added texture and added a small piece of gold ribbon towards the bottom with a small message of Peace, Joy, and Love.

As for the second card, I die cut a dark blue circle and attached the dove in the center of the circle, I then stamped the same message of Peace, Joy, and Love towards the bottom of the card.

The dove ornament was die cut and put together and then attached to a wire hoop that I wrapped ribbon around.  I added some ribbon to the top so that the dove could be added to a package or on a tree.
