I made this card for my husband this year for Valentine’s Day. I know he will love it. I used the heart die from Stampin Up in both red and white cardstock and turned the red one around and attached it to the white heart. By doing this you can see both of the colors in the heart. I then used the Swiss dots embossing folder for the background and stamped My Valentine on the inside with red ink.

This next card I created for the group of card makers I am with. We had to create a funny card this month and I knew most of the ladies would use the old lady stamp sets that are out so I went in another direction.
My dog and cat have free rein in our house, I guess we just love animals to much. Well my card was inspired by our dog. You see she thinks she is a human and loves to sleep on the couch. I have the dog popped up on foam dots and colored with copic markers.

Anyone for a big fat birthday cake? I made this card thinking someone would love a big fat cake. I added some dimension to the candle on the cake. The first layer of the card is white base and then blue cardstock and finally a light pink. The sentiment on the inside says “A very happy birthday to you.”

The airplane card took a little longer to make and I’m glad to say that several people liked it since I did teach them how to make it. You may be asking how did she get the airplane to stay floating like that, and to that I say, oh the wonders of fishing line can do for a card. Yep that’s the secret, I used fishing line to suspend the plane in the air. I cut a circle out of the center then pushed it to the inside of the card. After that I embossed two planes on vellum and put the fishing line in the middle of the two planes. I then attached the planes with some heavy duty tape to keep it flying.

Orange, not my favorite color to work with but it did give a punch of color to this card. I cut out some daisy shapes that I embossed with the small polka dot folder and added it to the doiley which I embossed with the swirl folder.

I loved how this one turned out. It feels a little country. I colored the tulips with copic markers and added a few pearls in the corner along with the doiley. I used pink card stock and layered red and then the gingham on top. The tulips are popped up with foam dots and the doiley is neatly tucked in behind the tulip banner.
