Jingle bells, Jingle bells you can almost hear it being sung. I wanted this card to have real bells on it but then realized that it wouldn’t go thru the mail in one piece so I did the next best thing and die cut the bells out of gold foil paper. I added some springs of pine at the top and a small red bow. To make the string I used a gold pen and just drew a line to attach to the bells.

I love the way this card turned out, it reminds me of the olden days when sleighs were the transportation in the winter.
I first drew a circle with a white pen to create the ornament. After the circle I used my blending brush and white ink and created the whiteness around the circle. For the next step I used dark brown ink and stamped the horse and sleigh. I added a white circle to be the moon at the top and then used my brush and tapped off some white paint to be snowflakes.
For the top of the ornament I stamped green sprigs around the top and added red glitter paint for some berries. At the bottom I used gold embossing ink for the sentiment and on the inside as well.

If you have ever made a side step card you know how hard it is the line up the cuts and folds so they close correctly. Well these cards are made by a faux method, not much cutting is needed.
Instead of the cutting you add a smaller piece to the front of the card and lap it over to the back. I created a whimsical and nativity card using this method. To write a message you can add a piece of white paper to the inside or add it to the back.
