I have always loved peacocks and when my parent’s had their farm they had around twenty at one time or another. A friend of mine had this stamp set where you can layer the stamps on a peacock. I was able to make it into a pin for her. I added a few rhinestones on the tips of the feathers to give them a little bling.
I also had to make a peacock card. This was all experimental and still a work in progress. I first embossed a peacock on card stock and then applied glue to the raised areas. After I let the glue dry, which it stayed tacky, I applied gold foil to the tops of the raised areas. I then used watercolors and colored in the lower areas of the feathers with blues and greens.

This is such a pretty card anyone would love to have it sitting on their desk or table at home. I used mainly pink colors but this could easily be changed to other colors. I made this card as a birthday card but this could change into a Mother’s Day or get well card just by changing out the sentiment.
I used a Happy Birthday banner and left an oval to write your message. The birthday banner is what props the card up.

This card was created using Stampin Up products. I thought this card could actually go for all ages not just kiddos.
The stamp set that I used is called, “Carousel Birthday and the paper I used came from Stampin Up’s Cupcakes and Carousels.
