Welcome October the month of witches and goblins and if you’re lucky candy too. My first card is made with an old Sizzix die the Haunted House. I shaped my paper to look like a tomb and sponged the edges and added a few ghosts. Simple Happy Halloween sentiment on the inside.
My next card is made with some Stampin Up stamps I call the witches clothes and to dress up the left side of the card I added some sparkly black ribbon. The inside was created using one of Michael’s dollar stamps the cauldron and a witch flying by.
The inspiration for these cards came from the change in weather here by me. Each card is a little bit different just like the color of fall leaves. I used a wood-grained embossing folder and cut the leaves out of double sided card stock of reds, yellows, and greens. Before attaching the leaves I scrunched the edge of the leaves to give them dimension. I used the sentiment thinking of you but this could be a happy birthday or just because type of card. For the inside I added a few more leaves to finish it off.
Well it’s back to school time and soon it will be Halloween then all the other holidays. I have two Halloween cards for you today. The first one I was doing some experimenting with glue and glitter for the background.
I added color strips of paper that I put glue on, then added the glitter to the paper. It gives it just a little bit of sparkle.
For my second card I used glitter paper for the web and created the spider using a punch. You can’t tell from the photo but the spider is dimensional. The inside of the card has a spider hanging from it’s web.
